Have you eaten nuts or seeds recently? If you have that’s great. If you haven’t it is time to introduce nuts and seeds to your diet. Yes, NUTS and SEEDS provide lots of nutrients – the vitamins you need, protein, fibre and healthy fat (mono-unsaturated).
Nuts and seeds are good for heart and many other health conditions. For example macadamias, walnuts, almonds, cashews, pumpkin seeds, linseed and sunflower seeds are good for those who have high cholesterol. Chia seeds are gluten free, high in fibre, Omega 3 and calcium.
Snack on nuts to boost your vitamin, fibre, mineral and protein intake – I take a handful of mixed nuts daily, but make sure you balance your intake – remember they are high in fat but it is the good fat! Add seeds to your breakfast cereal or add to salads.
